Main Cloud Platforms
Brewer Digital works with 3 main cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and GCP. Each have the same basic capabilities, and which platform we recommend varies based on your application’s needs, your current software stack, and your own company’s personal preference.
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
AWS, hosted by Amazon, is the industry leader and the platform that we recommend the most often. Of the 3 main platforms, AWS is the oldest and best-documented. The amount of documentation means that it’s the easiest to work with, which expands our capabilities for unique situations.
Azure
Azure, hosted by Microsoft, is best for companies that are already heavily invested in the Microsoft stack using elements like .NET, MSSQL, and C#. Deploying to Azure in these cases allows us to migrate with the most ease, as the Microsoft stack will play nicely with the new environment.
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
GCP, hosted by Google, is also a perfectly capable cloud platform. Our team used GCP for the cloud migration project mentioned in our Equifax case study, and it tends to work well with companies that have already set up the majority of their day-to-day operations using the Google Suite of products.
