App Monitoring Case Study: The Melanated Mammary Atlas

The Client

The Melanated Mammary Atlas is your portal to a world of images displaying mammary-related conditions on Asian, Indigenous, Black, and Brown folks. They feature the first and only cache of images of this type available for viewing and constantly updated by health professionals and the public.

The problem that TMMA is trying to solve is that when you open up a health book it is mostly composed of white people. TMMA wanted a platform where physicians, lactation consultants, and students could see a variety of brown/black/non-white breasts for educational purposes.

The Ask

TMMA needed a partner to provide ongoing support, maintenance, and improvements to their existing platform. Their previous developers were no longer available to support their complex system. They also needed a robust administration portal for managing their live system.

Our Solution

We contracted with TMMA to provide ongoing support, maintenance, and improvements to their existing system. We also built a new administration portal allowing their administrators to make necessary changes (reset user passwords, configure subscriptions, re-send invitation emails, etc.).

The Successful Results

  • Hours of work saved through the introduction of a new admin portal
  • Happier customers because of a stable platform
  • Peace of mind that their platform is being actively monitored
  • Customers are more secure because security patches and updates are regularly implemented
